Typically growing to a moderate height of 15-25 ft. with a rounded spread of 6-15 ft., this vase-shaped specimen is ideal for small yards and lawns, and is often chosen as an ornamental stand-alone specimen or as a colorful privacy screen when cultivated with other such trees. The Pink Velour Crape Myrtle is obviously best known for its opulent profusion of long-lasting and vibrant rose-pink blossoms. This specimen is also characterized by its exfoliating thin gray bark and its deciduous dark green leaves which transition to rich fall colors of bronze, red, and yellow in the fall.

A friendly recommendation.

With a 7-10 hardiness zone rating, this flowering specimen can be easily cultivated a as a shrub or tree. The Pink Velour Crape Myrtle thrives best given full sun and moist, well-drained soil. It does exhibit some decent drought tolerance and is well-suited for hot climates and compact spaces.
